Blunsdon Parish Council Update: Kingsdown Development Concerns
Blunsdon Parish Council Update: Kingsdown Development Concerns
We’ve written to Swindon Borough Council’s Corporate Director for Inclusive Economy and Sustainability to express our deep concerns about the lack of transparency and planning around the Kingsdown development and other speculative applications affecting our parish.
Despite 2,705 new homes being proposed, there’s been:
- No Reserved Matters application for consultation
- No clear Section 106 agreement to support local infrastructure
- No reassurance that rural roads can cope with the traffic impact
We’ve asked for clarity on traffic modelling, developer contributions, and how these decisions align with the Council’s own “Fairer, Better, Greener” plan.
You can read the full letter on the attachment.
We’ll keep pushing for answers and will update you as soon as we hear more.
