What Are the Blunsdon Allotments?

Blunsdon Parish is proud to support two thriving allotment sites, providing residents with space to grow their own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, our allotments offer a rewarding opportunity to cultivate fresh produce and connect with a green-fingered community.

Allotment Site Locations
We currently manage two allotment sites:
  • High Street Allotments Nestled close to the heart of Blunsdon village, Ideal for residents seeking easy access
  • Hillside View Allotments Situated near the outskirts with scenic views Quiet, spacious plots for longer-term growers

What We Offer
  • Plot sizes to suit different needs and experience levels
  • Communal water access (seasonal availability)
  • Compost bins and shared tool sheds (site-dependent)
  • Occasional community gardening days and seed swaps
  • Guidance for new allotment holders

How to Apply for a Plot
Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To register your interest:

Annual rental fees are modest and vary depending on plot size. 

Allotment Guidelines
To ensure the best experience for all plot holders:
  • Regular maintenance is required to keep plots tidy
  • No permanent structures permitted without consent
  • Bonfires are restricted to designated dates and must follow safety protocols
  • Pest control and pesticide use must follow Parish-approved guidelines
  • Well-behaved dogs allowed on leads
