Public Access Defibrillators in Blunsdon

 
Blunsdon Parish Council is committed to supporting emergency response in our community. We currently have two public access defibrillators (AEDs) available for use in the event of a cardiac emergency.
 
 

📍 Defibrillator Locations

 
Blunsdon Village Hall
  1. Address:  High Street, Blunsdon, SN26 7AE
  2. Location: Mounted externally near the main entrance
  3. Access: Cabinet is locked – code available via 999 call handler

Blunsdon Community Shop
  1. Address: 1 Larks Hill, Blunsdon, SN26 7AF
  2. Location: On the external wall of the shop building
  3. Access: Cabinet is locked – code available via 999 call handler

 

🔓 How to Access a Defibrillator

 
  • Call 999 immediately in the event of a suspected cardiac arrest.
  • The operator will: 
    • Confirm the nearest defibrillator location
    • Provide the access code to unlock the cabinet
    • Guide you through using the device if needed

These defibrillators are registered with The Circuit – National Defibrillator Network, ensuring emergency services are aware of their location and access details.
 
 

✅ No Training Required

 
Defibrillators are designed for public use and provide clear spoken instructions once opened. You do not need prior training to use one safely.
