A4311 Cricklade Road - Traffic Loop Reinstatement Work
Information from Swindon Borough Council: I write to inform you of the upcoming traffic loop reinstatement works along A4311 Cricklade Road. The site extents can be found attached to this email.
These works were previously programmed to take place as part of the recently completed re-surfacing works, however the team were unable to complete the activities within the allocated window. As such, please accept our apologies for the successive disruptions to the network.
The works are programmed to commence on Wednesday 2nd April 2025 for 1 working night between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00. However, this duration may overrun due to uncontrollable circumstances such as plant breakdowns or unfavourable weather conditions.
Notification signs will be erected in advance by the Contractor to advise the public when the works will take place. Should delays occur due to unforeseen circumstances, the signs will be updated to show the revised dates and durations accordingly.
Due to the nature of the works and the local environment, the works will be carried out within a temporary road closure to ensure that adequate health & safety is maintained for all parties. The proposed diversion route has been attached for your information, and dedicated signage will be provided as part of the Traffic Management plan.
Traffic Marshals will be available on site at all times during the works, and will assist in dealing with any access problems or queries that you may have.
If you have a blue badge and will be directly affected by the works please get in touch either via email or phone and let the Council know. A representative will then be in touch shortly to discuss access requirements/arrangements with you.
I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your understanding whilst these works are underway to improve Swindon’s highway network.
