Parish Facilities
The Village Hall
Our Hall is the former Village School on the High Street. It comprises two separate rooms, accommodating up to 120 depending on the type of use, and a large kitchen, with facilities for the disabled including a hearing induction loop. There is limited parking on site.
The Hall is available to hire by organisations, groups and individuals, for public and private, regular and one off events. Please contact the Clerk for information on availability and charges.
Recreational Amenities
A Recreation Ground is situated adjacent to Sutton Park and is regularly used by local clubs for football and cricket matches. There is a Pavilion with changing and shower facilities, together with a kitchen and social area. The ground is also available to hire for community events, subject to prior approval by the Parish Council.
Tennis courts were constructed about thirty years ago. Refurbishment of the site is under consideration.
The Millennium Gardens, at the junction of the High Street and Holdcroft Close, were created as a "village centre" to celebrate the year 2000.
A network of public rights of way, ie footpaths and bridleways, criss-crosses the Parish; these are the responsibility of the Borough Council. The Parish Council has installed and services nine dog waste bins in prime walking areas around the Parish.
There are a number of play park areas throughout the village, these provide various play equipment for children and ideal to access when out on walks.
MUGA

Suitable for 5 aside games, youth games, walking football, bootcamps, training circuits. Includes 6 x 2 meter goals. 2 x Tennis Courts On site car parking
Pavilion
The Pavilion, located beside Blunsdon’s recreation ground, is a well-used community facility that supports both sporting and social activities throughout the year. Originally developed to provide a dedicated space for local teams and event organisers, it continues to serve as a hub for seasonal fixtures and gatherings. The building includes changing rooms, toilets, a small kitchen area, and an indoor space suitable for team briefings or light refreshments. With direct access to the playing field, it is regularly used by Blunsdon’s football and cricket teams, offering a practical and welcoming base for match days and training sessions.

The Parish is well served by guest houses, hotels and public houses with restaurants, to suit all requirements.
Retail Services
A successful community run Village Shop at Unit 1 Blunt Rise, sells a range of daily grocery needs. Kingsdown also offers the Co-Op, Garden Centre and links to other shops.
Burial Grounds
The Cemetery in Burytown Lane opened in 1889 and is operated by the Parish Council. It is available for full burials and the interment of ashes. All parishioners are entitled to be buried at the Cemetery. Requests can be made by non-parishioners, however, priority is given to those with a strong Parish connection.
The St Leonard's Churchyard is now closed but managed by the Church.
Allotments
There are a number of allotments based at our Hillside and Minerva sites available for yearly hire to the Parish residents.

Dog Bins
There are 9 Dog bins throughout the Parish, the most recent installation is on Turnpike Road at the junction with Kingsdown Lane.
