Notice of public road closure

Swindon Borough Council is providing advance notification of the upcoming carriageway improvement works along A4198 Thamesdown Drive heading west. 

 

The main purpose of these works is to replace the deteriorating surface within areas of the carriageway in order to increase its life span and to provide a safer and better running surface for all road users.

 

The works are programmed to commence on Friday 21st February 2025 for 5 working nights between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00. However, this duration may overrun due to uncontrollable circumstances such as plant breakdowns, unfavourable weather conditions or the need to carry out additional repairs discovered during the construction works.
